Our Story

Opening its doors in 2006, Backporch Coffee Roasters is a small coffee roasting company in the heart of the west side of Bend, Oregon. Owners, Dave and Majell Beach, started the company based upon their need for perfectly roasted and brewed coffee.  Obsessed with quality and control, opening a roasting company and cafe was their best way to deal with such obsession. After three years of operating business, Dave and Majell Beach added Jeremy and Erica Williamson to the team of Backporch ownership. Jeremy and Erica have an incredible passion for quality coffee roasting, cupping, brewing, and sourcing great coffee. Together we strive daily to bring to the city of Bend and beyond some of the highest rated and best coffee that is out there. We support farm direct buying practices and are making every effort to bridge the gap between the coffee farm and the coffee shop. We seek to be progressive in the art and science of coffee roasting and the preparation of it.
